Hesperia WTC Hotels, in commercial alliance with NH Hotels, has had a presence in Venezuela’s tourism and convention market for over 20 years, with strategic locations in Valencia, Maracay, Morrocoy, and Isla Margarita. The latest addition to their portfolio was the Hesperia World Trade Center Maracaibo, located at Calle 78 and Avenida 18 in Maracaibo, Zulia State. This 19-story hotel and convention center was built on the abandoned structure of a former Hilton expansion started in 1983. The building sat unfinished from 1985 until 2013, when the Spanish hotel chain Hesperia WTC acquired and fully redesigned the project.

The hotel count with a total of 240 rooms, which 108 are suites and the last portion of the building is an executive floor. Each room has premium millwork across vanities, doors, closets, wood paneling and nightstands all imported from Spain. The walls has a combination of hand-painted murals and elegant wallpapers that contrasts perfectly with floor tiles and the bathrooms has thermal-fusion technology system that provides each guest with immediate hot or cold water maximum comfort, optimizing water consumption and contributing to the overall energy efficiency of the building.

The facade of Hesperia WTC blends an architectural grooving style in both of its staircases and the elevator core, a bold accent with a vibrant orange-red Aluminum Composite Panels (ACP) in the central section wrapping the double-glass-thermo-acoustic black windows and chrome slate tiles concentrated on the lower levels to frame 75% of its amenities in the building, such as: one extendable convention room for up to 1200 people and three smaller event rooms, an official WTC office, multiple restaurants, a spa, gym and an outdoor pool with terraces and panoramic views on the 7th floor, while at the uppermost level of the tower is the premium high-altitude nightlife and social venue overlooking the city and offering 270-degree views of Lake Maracaibo, the city and the iconic General Rafael Urdaneta Bridge.
